will swamp you at every turn in this game. Unfortunately. I was initially very excited about the new tribes, with different economies and skills, fun to play around with. Unfortunately, all the scenarios have scripts with timers and trigger points that will set off waves of attackers that will wreak havoc with your efforts to get a nice little village under way.
What this game lacks is a sandbox mode. As it is, it's only fun if you like to figure out exactly how many seconds on the timers, and which exact pixel will set off the attackers, and how to prevent your settlers from uncovering those pixels.
Personally I detest ‘strategy’ games that simply try to bury you under scripted hordes & overwhelming numbers rather than even bothering with an AI opponent. I'd rather play Settlers 2 or 3 instead. Gave up on this in disgust.
