Sega MegaDrive Arcade Classic Wireless Console reviews

It's good to be aware that this isn't a megadrive, it's simply a cheap system that has a built in emulator. The type of emulator you can download on your pc and play games on your computer. Infact, there are much better emulators that reproduce the sound and image far better than this. It's important to also note that this system will not play all games, especially games with built in chips e.g, virtual racing.

In short, this thing SUCKS. The wireless control is so unresponsive its not funny, the controllers are battery powered and you have to screw off the back every damn time just to replace the batteries. Oh and not to mention it doesn't come with batteries to begin with, that would be too much to ask for something you paid $100 for. The sound is all weird when you play games and most of the pre loaded ones on it suck anyway. Wanna try out the bonus cart that came with the console- Well guess what, that aint gonna happen because it doesn't even work when you pop it in. I think i'll just have fun with my original megadrive II that I got for $40 instead of wasting my time with this trash. Thanks a bunch Sega

I got this for my birthday from my hubby and kids and love it. Brings back great times when I use to stay inside on a lovely hot day and play my sega!!!!

My kids even enjoy it (my son says PS3 is much better) but really how can you compare the two, they are so different.

So if you didn't played sega way back… To you it will just be a crappy console thats buggy, slow and bad graphics.

For all those others, get out the storage containers, bribe your friends or family for your old games and controllers back, because this beats any console on the market to date.

Yes it may not come with sonic, but a quick search on trade me will give it to you for $15 and a few days wait. Yes it may still be slow in parts (Especially 2 player), yes it may still freeze because it wants too (but sometimes continues by pressing start–) But that is because it is a Sega

As far as a remake goes, they could have done better in all fairness, but that could have driven the price right up.
