He is further expected to examine the distribution of charges and to devise special accounting systems to meet special require ments in order that the bookkeeping or accounting work may be accomplished in the shortest possible time with a minimum of labor. The accountant should be qualified to pass expert Opinion upon any matters in the science of accounting in any line of business, no matter what system is used. His examination of the accounts should show any losses sustained, the particular department of the business in which they are occurring, and to suggest special methods or systems to prevent such losses, or to increase the profits of any department. He should be thoroughly familiar with banking and financial methods, so that in outlining a system the minimum amount of capital will bring the best profits in order that the funds may be invested and reinvested as frequently as possible.
