Simply amazzing movie, true peice of movie history here. Tom hanks/speilberg team up to show the auideience a true masterclass in a WW2 epic full of action/drama and share awe and terror. A must have hands down

Saving Private Ryan is an incredibly moving film about modern history's darkest days. Easily the best war film ever, and arguably Tom Hank's best acting, Saving Private Ryan is a must for any fan of war or anyone looking for a truly great movie.

It looks like Steven Spielberg just can't make movie that won't win the hearts of movie buffs and numerous awards. This movie is no exception. The opening sequence of invasion is just breath taking. You just grab your chair with both of your hands and pray to God that you not get hit by bullets and grenades. Simply stunning. Visually superb and as far as sound goes is simply surrounds and drags you into the battle and you really feel like you are in the middle of it. Truly Masterpiece by a cinema genius almighty Steven Spielberg!!

I am proud to say that this is my favourite movie of all time. Its feels like you are IN the war. The graphics are just too realistic. A must have for all those who love war and drama.

A most excellent and powerful movie. Long, but necessary for the epic-ness. See it at least once in your life time.

An amazing movie and quite possibility one of the most realistic war movie ever made. Having it in HD just adds to the realism A must buy!!

Based on a US Civil War story and rewritten for the screen Tom Hanks plays an upstanding salt of the earth Captain in the Rangers who lands with his troop in Normandy on D-Day. The first 15 minutes of the film are suspense, terror and noise. I especially enjoyed the camaraderie of the men living on the edge and even in the midst of sheer hell, the way a good man could change the outcome for his troops to give them hope.

A classic must have on Blu-Ray High Def!

Saving Private Ryan is one of the BEST war movies ever made. It only made sense to add it too my blu-ray collection.

I was very interested in purchasing this on HD media as I`m a movie buff that looks for rvery ealism in any film and the open scene of this movie is very realistic and on HD looks awesome and the sound of bullets wizzing buy etc is absorbing, the only thing that I hated was that most of the HD re-mastered movies have this snow/fuzz, why-

Looks and Sounds Great on Blu Ray…

Very good movie. An instant classic. Watching it in High definition makes it more intense during the war scenes of the movie.

Loves the movie when it was released 12 years ago, but Blu-Ray just makes it that much more special. The graphics, the details, just amazing! Brings an old favorite back to life!

Excellent 1080p transfer, with amazing DTS-HD soundtrack to boot.
