I primarily wanted this as a tripod for my camera/smartphone. The remote was an added feature I was vaguely interested in. As it turns out I was very happy with the tripod & selfie-stick functions. The remote was faulty from the start. I stripped it down, adjusted the battery and it worked correctly…for about 5 minutes. Decided it was a lost cause and binned it. If you need a reliably stable tripod or a short selfie-stick this is a good option as it combines both. Don't rely on the electronic component.
