The old man comes out of nowhere and disappears into thin air. Yes, it's 1969 and strange things are happening, but Mick's not on Acid. Wanda says he's an angel but why would an angel appear to a burned out detective in a dying lumber port? Unable to follow his heritage, Mick has been drifting into trouble. But the old man's cryptic words have him seeing through new eyes; and he sees who his angel really is.
