Red Dead Redemption reviews

So I was lucky enough to get to borrow my mates 360 and games while he was on holiday awhile back I got to play RDR. Now that I have my own PS3 I'm playing through it again and its just as good the 2nd time through. Will even get to play the DLC which always a nice bonus :)

This game is a masterpiece…

When I bought this from JB HiFi I was just blown away by it and what was super cool about it was riding horses and I would so recommend this game for ages 16 and over and I would not advise that parents buy this for anyone under 16

I would recommend this game to anyone with a PS3, if your a fan of the Grand Theft Auto series this game is for you. Highly addictive!!! Just like a classic western (The Good, The Bad & The Ugly), right down to the sound track. The game of the year addition is the best value for money, with all the extra D.L.C

The Campaign for this game takes a higher spot then the Multiplayer so that is what I will focus on. First off, the sandbox style of gameplay. The Red Dead Redemption world is massive, and it can take you up to twenty minutes just to go from one end to the other. There is a lot for you to do, from hunting, collecting herbs, chasing bounties, playing poker, blackjack and five-finger fillet, breaking in horses, searching for gold, or just going around helping people in need. The main storyline for the campaign is extremely long and doesn't end when you think it will. It takes you from America to Mexico and back again, and you meet plenty of eccentric, colourful, crazy and even murderous people on your adventures. The third person view is different to most games but once you get used it is a great changeup. The weapons available are varied, with everything from repeating rifles, revolvers and hi-powered pistols, to tomahawks, dynamite and shotguns. For those who are interested in the Wild West time period this is a great game that will provide days of fun.

Red Dead Redemption is a massive step up from the Red Dead Revolver. Really enjoyed the side missions and little extras that Rockstar added in this game.

It is a good game that you will never stop playing

Rockstar has created an absolutely brilliant work of art in Red Dead Redemption. Showing off an open world sprawling with various activities to do Rockstar provides a 10/10 experience. The story of Red Dead Redemption is a must play.

All the DLC given its and amazing game and Western GTA but much much better!!

I never replay a games story mode, I just find it too boring. But I have gone through red dead redemption 3 times, and it still astounds me. The multiplayer is actually, surprisingly good, I ignored it until after my third play through and I instantly regretted not having played it previously because it was incredible, not to mention Undead Nightmare, making this version worth every single dollar, you will definitely get your money's worth. If you did not buy it last year, then this is the best version and is definitely worth your money even with all the new AAA games coming out in these months, it has not aged at all and still feels new. A fantastic buy for anybody.

Ive loved this game since it was first released but I needed to buy a new copy such a epic game I cant wait till they make a second one to this

Very good game. Great graphics and storyline. I especially liked the undead nightmare mode. Only problem would be that the landscape gets a bit dull after a whle.

Ever been curious how the wide wild west looked like- This game gives an awesome view of how it was to live back in those days. Red Dead Redemption gives you an experience of the dangerous life of a bounty hunter without actually being in real danger. A taste of being in the wilderness among thieves, bandits, and good old citizens of the wide wild west!! just one advice, don't lose your horse when you're roaming around the wilderness unless you wanna enjoy the scenery. Made me feel like watching “Wild Wild West”.

Another advice: GET THIS GAME!!! Bored of human NPCs- how about playing the undead version in a dark room with a headset- Now that's exciting!!

Amazing story and gameplay! A true western themed game. The main story will last around 15–25 hours depending on your speed, and even more if you go for all the challenges and trophies/achi­evements. Singleplayer gaming doesn't get much better than this. A whole lot of fun to be had after too with the Undead Nightmare story, and multiplayer. Pick this one up if you haven't already, it's a must have!

I have played this game so many time and I have not got sick the open it I just love in world in the cowboy times and the multilayer is even better because you can make a posse with your mate online . when I get my ps3 on new years RDR GOTY is going to be my first game to buy

Best sand box game, only gta v meets it's standard. Gameplay and graphics compete now even.

Cool as game. Massive open world map. The disc has red dead redemption and undead nightmare. (Two separate games, both are cool games) highly recommend.

Haven't given it to my son yet as for his birthday in February but I am sure he will be very very happy with it. :D

Glad I waited for this game, I played it round my friends house and it was awesome. I was just waiting for a complete edition with all the preorder content and downloadable content. This game is so deserving of the GOTY because the gameplay is awesome and in my mind the best Rockstar Game ever.
