This was my first Razer product – but I tell you what, it set the standard for me. I absolutely love it, and have no problems with it whatsoever. Perfect. High performance – definitely worth the money if you're anything like I was and reading this page while holding your Microsoft Optical.

"Great for CAD"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Just got this mouse, again am impressed with the fast delivery!! Mouse is simple and easy to set up, only minor setback is with the Mac, you have to adjust the speed everytime you unplug it. Am using it mainly for design work – I use CAD on a daily basis and the higher dpi definitely make things easier than a standard mouse, I would definity recommend. Another thing, I'm a female and was concerned that it would look ugly but you can hardly even see the logo on the mouse once you turn the light off, plus you can also turn the scroll light off then it looks like an ordinary black mouse. It is bigger than your standard mouse but is comfortable – I have small hands!! Glad I purchased this, and glad I purchased it from Mighty Ape :)

I bought this as a birthday present for my son. Now am wishing I got one also for myself. I have always been into a Microsoft mouse, I guess because that was what my pc came with, but after having a go on this razer gaming mouse am over the moon, so smooth, easy to control, the best mouse I ever bought for someone.

"Awesome mouse"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This is by far the best gaming mouse I've ever used. Every thing about this mouse just looks and feels right, from the design mould, button layout, gold plated usb conector its all just top quality. The Razer logo on top of the mouse fades in and out and the scroll wheel glows blue and is very smooth when scrolling. The software drivers seem to be good and easy to setup. I cant think of anything bad to say about this mouse. To top it off it just looks so cool.

"Good mouse, but...."

The mouse function itself is as people have said, smooth, easy to use, great feeling mouse. I bought one in July 2011, and now, December 2012, the left click is starting to break. When holding left click down, sometimes it wont respond, or it will respond like you are clicking slowly.. Was happy with this product at the start, but I've had MS mice last 4+ years, this was a sad disappointment.

"Do not buy from Razer anymore"
1 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I bought this mouse a few months ago and have had nothing but problems since I started using it.

The mouse itself is fantastic, one that I cannot fault. It is unfortunately let down by a program that Razer released which controls all of your mouse settings. This program initially renders your mouse almost completely useless until you create an account and register the product, after that, it's all downhill from there.

When the program is working, and connected with a stable internet connection (assuming that their servers are not down), it often works mostly fine. When you try to use the mouse without an internet connection, however, the program is extremely buggy and you will find that your mouse will very rarely be able to use all those fancy features that you paid so much for.

Unfortunately the program is still full of bugs even when you are connected to the internet. The program will often not launch, launch and not load your settings, load your settings but they won't work, attempt to update and crash completely, and numerous other problems which make for an extremely frustrating experience.

My advice to you is to avoid purchasing any Razer products, as all future products, and most current ones, require this same program for full functionality.

If you are still looking for a great mouse or other computer accessory, I would direct you the way towards products of SteelSeries and Logitech, because they make equally as fantastic products that Razer does, and they do so without any sort of encumbering program like the one which Razer requires.

"Very nice!"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I have had this for about 2 months now and I love it! Took a little while to get used to, but once adjusted, I have not had any problems with it. The on-the-fly sensitivity changing is pretty handy for switching between games. The light up scroll wheel and logo are pretty snazzy and are not blinding in the dark.

Only problem is that you need a mouse pad with it, which you most likely have, or it is not as responsive as it should be.

I love it, so easy to use and so smooth and comfortable

"Excellent beginner to gaming mice" Purchased on Mighty Ape

Most gaming mouses are made for games like WoW, this mouse has two buttons on the left side, and these are suprisingly helpful in everyday life. There is a Razer program out there that you can use to coustomise the functionality of every button (except the primary click), meaning if a game has compicated controls in odd places on your keyboard, just re-map the mouse to be your “F” key (etc.). Multiple profiles can be made and these can themselves be linked to programs on your computer so when you're playing Skyrim and you want to spam shouts, bind the profile to Skyrim! Razer Snyapse (the program) can be used to have your mouse adjust sensitivity, launch programs, run macros and more. Switch between the programs with a button on the bottom and you are free to go.

TLDR: Great mouse, great functionality and great beginnings to the world of gaming devices.

"Incredible quality and responsiveness "

Fantastic mouse, it makes me wonder why i played online games with a sub-par wireless $30 mouse for so long. Great responsiveness and combined with a Razer mouse pad it glides giving you the precision you want when gaming online or offline.

"So Smooth"

This Product is just amazing, I can guarntee if you buy this you will not be disapointed it is a like gift that never stops giving. I couldnt reccomend anything better. Purely Amazing

"Great gaming mouse"

Purchased on Mighty Ape

This was my first Razer product and this would be by far the best mouse I have used. The software drivers for the mouse was really helpful. It made the mouse very easy to set up to the way you want it. It has a lot of functions on what you can to do with all the buttons on the mouse. The mouse is bigger than the standard mouse that I used but it fits onto your hand nicely and ergonomically. I am able to hold onto the mouse for a long period of time without feeling much discomfort. Overall, I think it was definitely worth the money if you are looking for a mouse at around this price range.

"Great Feel, Good mouse"

I have now used this mouse for 2 weeks. Aside from the lack of on the fly dpi switching, I have had no problems. The software is easy to use, the mouse is great to hold. And has a nice feel on the 1800Dpi setting. Great mouse for a palm grip, really ergonomic.

Great mouse with highly adjustable settings. Can be used from beginning level gamer all the way up to the pros. With on the fly sensitivity switching you can quickly swap modes between your first person shooters to your MMO's.

Ergonomically designed to provide the best comfort with your hand, reducing strain on wrist (and chances of RSI.) However, on long gaming binges surface of mouse does not react well to sweaty hands.

Also had problems with the drivers that came on the disc for Windows 64bit (Probably just me!) However downloading the most recent ones off the website did the trick and was up and gaming in no time! Recommended whenever getting new gaming hardware is go straight for the most up to date online drivers.

In the end though, great purchase would defiantly do it again and recommend to anyone!

"Worth it- Yes!!!"

This mouse is so much better than the optical mouse you are probably using right now.

3500dpi is all you will ever need, the size of the mouse is one put off though people with smaller hands will find it uncomfortable.

"Amazing" Purchased on Mighty Ape

The Razer Deathadder is an extremely comfortable mouse. I have had this mouse a couple of months now and I am glad I choose to buy this mouse.

I am a gamer and this mouse does not make my hand ache after an extended time of use like previous mice I have had. It is extremely responsively and the 2 extra buttons on the left side of the mouse do make a big difference when gaming.

The blue lighting also makes this mouse look quite nice.

The Razer Deathadder is an extremely good price and well worth the $90 I spent on it

"Most comfortable gaming mouse ever"
5 stars"

This is possibly one of the most comfortable gaming mice I've ever used. I used to have the mx518 but this easily tops that. Don't worry about the 2 large thumb buttons, believe it or not they are extremely comfortable to use and usually your thumb will sit just below them. The arch of the mouse's back also fits perfectly with most hands, the right/left clicks have a slight curve to allow your fingers to sit on them quite easily, and the Deathadder is even designed to accommodate your ring finger and pinky on the side so you can grip it very comfortably. All the clicks feel very crisp, fast and responsive. The scroll wheel is also by far the most comfortable I've ever used. Just the perfect amount of resistance. The cable is also extremely long and is braided, so it's very classy and awesome for resistance. Overall if you want a comfortable, gaming-grade mouse without any extra fluff that you don't need, Deathadder is definitely the way to go

"Gaming / Browsing, this mouse is brilliant."

The customizable buttons are very handy, and easy to access. May take a little bit of getting used to though, but it's great once you get the hang of it. Personally I like to have a different button configuration for different games, and even for browsing the web – as you can save different button config profiles, and quickly access them. The on-the-fly sensitivity is handy with games, and can also be set to anywhere on the mouse. (mouse-wheel button is my preference)

I bought this off Mighty Ape when it was $95, Quite a buy. All around great feel and quality mouse, Highly recommended!

"Razer's best effort yet"
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Having used several of Razer's previous products including the original Boomslang and the Diamondback, I can say with certainty that the DeathAdder is Razer's best mouse achievement yet.

For a right hander, the side buttons are positioned exactly where they should be (unlike the Diamondback). In general all the buttons and the scroll-wheel just feel “right” and the size and shape of the mouse is also an improvement over previous efforts.

As with most high-end mice there are no problems with precision in any style of game.

The pulsing glow from the DeathAdder logo is an added bonus for geeks who enjoy shiny peripherals. :D
