Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart reviews

I purchased my PS5 to play this game. It has lived up to its hype. The graphics are outstanding and storyline is amazing. What I love is the level of difficulty you can select. My nephew who is seven played the easiest mode which was great as he didn’t die. Normal he would say it’s too hard and give up.

I love this game. I thought that the length – around 10 hours – would be too short for the price but the game is packed with so much fun and humour that I found it more than worth it. The combat and especially the movement mechanics are amazing, and the detail of the game is crazy. Insomniac Games (Spider-Man and Miles Morales) nailed it again.

The game is amazing as a long time fan of the franchise and even better is that it arrived before the estimated date which made it way better!!! Definitely buying from here more regularly!!!!

Game was definitely on the short side, but a lot of fun for the 11yrold for his birthday

Great game for beginners, and gamers. Takes abou 10hours 10–15hr to platinum. Multiple saves. Highly recommend.

I was worried about introducing another Lombax to the game but I think Insomniac handled it quite well. Gameplay great as always and graphics equally amazing. My only complaints really is it's too short and the story is a little all over the place because of having two characters.

Ratchet & Clank are back in one of their best games to date. The gameplay, graphics, and audio are all stellar. It runs flawlessly on PS5 and it was a brilliant experience from start to end. I've finished the main story and got the Platinum trophy in not that long frankly (two weekends, maybe 12 hours-) – I'll give myself a bit of a break and then back in for challenge mode as there is still plenty to do. If you're lucky or committed enough to have a PS5, this is an essential release for you.

Ratchet and Clank are back, and they look better than ever. This game takes little time to give you the who, what, when, where, and why, and then drop you right into the action.

There are plenty of call backs to the previous games, although to a certain degree, it feels like the experience would have been lessened without having played past games, as there is a vast array of returning characters.

One of the highlights of playing this game was a first real experience with the PS5's DualSense vibrations, it truly felt like some next-level immersion.

I do feel like there could have been a few more side adventures inserted in to give the game a little more longevity, as a single, 100% playthrough clocked in at around 25–30 hours, but I was thoroughly entertained the whole time.

As a long time fan of Ratchet & Clank, this entry made me feel like a kid again. The graphics and performance were excellent. Another solid entry in both the Ratchet & Clank series, and Insomniac's growing library of great games.
