Description

Excerpt from Professor Smith's Criticism on the Pentateuch Examined The following pages are almost a verbatim re print of a series of articles which appeared in the columns of the Aberdeen Journal. The entire ms. Was in the hands of the printer, and a considerable portion of it had appeared before the publication of Principal Douglas' pamphlet. I do not here profess to deal with the positive evidence in support of the historical character of the Pentateuch and the unity of the Mosaic Legislation, but simply to examine the negative criticisms of Professor Smith, as embodied in his Additional Answer. In consequence of my not having been able to revise the proof sheets prior to this issue, there are a few typographical errors but these are of a trifling character, and such as an ordinary reader Will correct for him self. On page 34, line 17, insert 35 after p; and on page 40, line 26, delete after pastures. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
