Author Biography:

Marion Eames was born in Birkenhead to Welsh parents. She was brought up in Dolgellau. After leaving school, Marion worked at Dolgellau library, and then the library at Aberystwyth University - it was during this time that she decided that she wanted to learn to speak Welsh fluently. Marion received a small grant to study in the Guildhall College of Music in London, and during that time met the journalist Griffith Williams, whom she later married. The pair moved to Cardiff and Marion worked as a radio producer. She was also an early script writer for Pobol y Cwm. Marion Eames is one of Wales' most popular and productive authors. She passed way in April 2007, aged 86.
