Part 1 describes what a horse needs in terms of nutrients and which feeds to provide them. Part 2 gives in-depth information on feeding the specific categories: leisure horses;working horses; competition horses; broodmares; foals; stallions; veteran horses; donkeys and mules, discusses how feed affects behaviour and temperament and provides an alphabetical listing of health problems related to feeding. This book is a must for anyone - from the individual horse owner to the career student - who has ever been concerned about what should and should not go in a horse's feed bucket.
