Nice to see the introduction of Pokemon contests in this series which makes a change from just watching Ash challenging gym leaders. Nice to see Ash using more Pokemon as well. This is a good season to get.

Pokemon season 1–5 were great but were getting rather repetitive. The introduction of the Hoenn region in season 6 actually makes the show fun again with a breath of fresh life.
Rather than using Pikachu for everything, Ash begins to use his other brand new pokemon. He gains a new travelling partner in May along with her brother Max, both of whom really add to the series.
Basically, it feels as though both the writing and art have made a great improvement and it probably the best season of Pokemon yet!
I am an American Pokemon fan who has grown up with Pokemon since 1999, and have been wanting to finally get all the episodes on DVD. This particular season is unavailable in America, and unless you're willing to pay $100 for each of the American sets this is the cheapest way to all of the Advanced episodes. You get all 40 episodes of this “saga” plus the last 12 Master Quest episodes specifically Address Unown up until Watt's With Wattson. This season aired from 2003–2004 on Kid's WB in America.
Just when you thought there were only 251 pokemon, think again. A new region of Pokemon emerges, the Hoenn region. A 6 disc set of a new journey for Ash. Along with his new friends May, little brother Max, and a whole lot of new pokemon, the series continues. Awesome new attacks and an improvement in Ash's character, the Hoenn is one not to miss!
New characters, new pokemon, same old ash and same old pikachu. Lots of battles and adventure, an enjoyable watch.
This season leads on from the last where we see Ash and Gary Competing in the Silver conference and leads on to the introduction of some new friends May & Max, who join the group to replace Misty has left to be the Gym leader at her sisters Gym. The Newcomers are a breathe of fresh air into this Journey and were needed to give this season a bit of an edge. Ash gains his first 3 badges in the Hoenn region with the help of his friends at his side.
Whats also great about this season is the introduction of the new contests I wont go into any details dont want to spoil it for those that havnt watch this season.
If you compare it to the first season you'll noticed the art has become more refined and has alot more detail.
Overall a great edition to my collection though ill only go as far as seaosn 8. I dont like the new voice actors in season 9 onward.
5/5 just as good as the first season
This was one of the best seasons yet. Starts with the Silver Confrence the ash gains his first 3 gym badges in a new region, Hoenn.

Pokemon Advanced- Season 6 was a good dvd set To buy I give it 4 stars
This season is just as good as all the other ones before it. If you compare it to the first season you can also see how they've improved on the characters as well.
