"Good but there's a catch"
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Out of the box this console is a bit lackluster, from a poor selection of games to the use of inferior PAL versions of games however if you are willing to learn how to add your own games (Which I obviously can't detail here tho if you are interested it's only a quick youtube search away) then this becomes a pretty fantastic system which as time goes on and the community works more out about it will only improve. Out of the box I give it 3 stars at its current $99 price but if you are willing to do your homework regarding what's mentioned above you can add another star or 2 :)

"Better than expected!"

After all the negative videos on YouTube spouting awful emulation and game selection I was nicely surprised. First of all I think it's a great game list – a nice mix of blockbusters and gems that may have passed you by back in the day. I'd never played Intelligent Qube before and now I'm addicted! I would replace Rainbow Six with something decent in a perfect world, however. Emulation is also excellent for the most part – the only game with noticeable issues so far is Ridge Racer – it turns on the tunnel audio reverb at random times – it's really quite annoying. There are also framerate issues but overall it's still a smooth, very playable experience. I know a lot of people have been jumping up and down about certain games running at 50hz but I haven't noticed it – probably because I grew up with the 50hz PS. Tekken 3 runs fast enough for this slow old man! The hardware is incredibly well made and overall it offers insane value for money. All in all the PS Classic is a neat little collectable that does a great job of taking you for a stroll down memory lane. I've already put quite a few hours into playing on this thing and I've only had it for a day!

"So much fun but limited"

So many games I wanted to play as a kid and now I can and no one can tell me no. Barring the fact that you can't add games to it, it's a neat little trip down memory lane, and now I can appreciate the games even more now that I've matured and understand things better.

"A great selection of games. Good multiplayer ones in there."

I tried it out last night with my family. Most of the games are new to me, as in, that I've never played them, apart from Final Fantasy VII. Tried Ridge Racer, and all the other multiplayer games on there. I'm definitely going to be trying the others which are on here. One piece of advice is that when it comes to buying an adaptor for the USB cord is that I'd recommend buying a phone charger to do it with, that way, you just have one dedicated for the console.

"Not to bad"

Graphics not that great I remember that graphics better than that. But enjoying playing some of the older games.

"Average out of the box. Decent with a few changes."

As many point out, modifying the console is a must. With themes and the ability to play my own backed up games, it's a solid and simple option after committing a bit of time to setting up. I also own a original PS1 with a PSIO mod, but this seems a bit simpler to use, even if there are occasional issues that keep me from giving this 4 stars, like random freezes or delays when attempting to read VMCs or switch games. Overall, a solid buy but only at a discount.
