Author Biography:

Dorothy is an author, tour guide, lecturer and accredited poet, with a passion for Macclesfield’s local history, the town which she and her late husband adopted in 1967. A former member of the Spode Society, Trustee of Christ Church and area representative for the Churches Conservation Trust (2006-2013), and now Trustee for the Stanley & Brocklehurst Almshouses and Chair of Macclesfield Heritage Forum, she continues her journey through the town’s 1,000 years of fascinating history.
