"Demo Review. In a word: Fun."
4 stars"

At first glance this game seems a little too simple. Grab some loyal followers, cause rampage. Repeat. Yet when you get down to it theres something really really fun about doing just this. More than what you would think, and part of the reason is the story, and the other part is the environment. It is from the story and the environment and the NPCs that this game feels distinctly like Fable. Theres a lot of oddballs around and they make the levels fun, like the man who knows his pumpkins have been whispering to the hobgoblins.

The story begins with you (Our Overlord) being unearthed by your minions and being placed into your armor. You then need to go about setting up your castle by way of pillaging the country side and gaining a following amongst the local populace. How you go about this is up to you. The demo version I downloaded consists of only a short romp through the country side, but it is enough to get a taste of the good life.

Imps are your main weapon, and you use them to do many things in the zone. These little critters will kill for you, die for you, destroy for you, bring back the souls of the slain to increase your imp army, and the list goes on. The personal combat of the overlord is somewhat simplistic, but you have so much fun making the imps do the work, this doesnt really matter that much.

Graphics: Set for HDTV 720p the graphics are nice. Not stunning, but nice Controls: Compared to Project Slypheed the controls here are simplicity in itself. Sound: Nice sound, interactive NPCs Gameplay: Fun. From Imps that pick up pumpkins to use as armor to destroying flocks of sheep, this game makes being a villain enjoyable.

"A lot like Pikmin"
3 stars"

This game is a lot like Pikmin for the gamecube, you gather followers, they move things around, kill things for you, and help you in many other ways. All in all this game is great (Based on the demo) and I will be keeping a close eye on it.
