Watched this for the first time last night on DVD. An absolutely brilliant portrayal of the events that occured at Aramoana. Stunning performance from Matthew Sunderland as David Gray, as well as Karl Urban (Nick Harvey) I thought the attention to detail in the settings was amazing. Very moving film. I've recommended it to my workmates, and would recommend it to anyone with an interest in movies based on true events.

Totally riveting viewing- watching the characters go about their daily lives (including David Gray) waiting for the inevitable to happen is quite an experience. This movie is incredibly well made and doesn't feel exploitative or sensationilst for so much as a second. My favourite character is the elderly lady who keeps cool under pressure. Can't wait to see this again.
A shockingly respectful portrayal of what happened on that day. Intense drama, but not overdone, a very raw film in its depiction of those terrible events.
