The narrative consists of a recital of their adventures, the wonderful things they saw, and the impressions of the younger portion of the party. The author has not relied solely upon his imagination in the treatment of his subject, for while the names and characters of the travellers are fictitious, he has drawn freely upon his own experience during several visits to Europe.
