Description

Excerpt from One Hundred and Third Annual Meeting: October 22, 1991, 7: 15 P. M. Candor Baptist Church, Candor, North Carolina; October 23, 1991, 9: 15 A. M. Calvary Baptist Church, Mt. Gilead, North Carolina The Associational Council has met on a regular basis for the year. Their objective has been to actively seek to achieve the goals set forth in the long range plans. We can rightfully say that we have done well, and sought to keep on track to reach those goals. One such goal was to employ a part-time office secretary and part-time Church and Community Ministries Director. These goals were achieved with the employment of Mrs. Vernie Rhodes. We have also sought to establish a calendar of activities for the association. We plan to have a better calendar of activities planned for the association in the near future. Another area where we have made great strides in in the Sharing Place. Mrs. Vada Whitaker has given many hours of valuable service in the work of the Sharing Place. In September we began a move, with new space on the front street level to meet the needs of people in a greater way. We are happy to say the bugs of the new location are be ing worked out, and I appreciate the many hours volunteers have put in hard work with the Sharing Place. As we enter a new year, we set our target to continue to reach the goals of our long range plans. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
