This began her special interest in the progress of her town. Hrs. Davis served on the School Board, was a member of many committees including several Brick School Study Committees, worked tirelessly on the first Master Plan and was the catalyst for the eventual move to nash by the high school students of Amherst. Over the years, she was the voice of the Town through her work as correspondent of the Milford Cabinet and is credited for instituting the Christmas traditions of Amherst. The life of this exceptional Citizen touched many of us and her influence is still being felt today. Dorothy Davis will always hold a special place in the annals of Amherst.
