Originally, this game's previews are what sparked me to get the Wii in the first place. Definitely by the time I bought the console, other games had caught my heart too but I definitely got this game immediately when it came out.
Ideally, I was hoping this game would be a little bit closer to The Sims than it actually was. I had this brilliant idea of making a cute city with all of my friends as cute little characters.. which didn't turn out to be the case. Although, you do get to decorate yourself which was very fun!
The best part of the game would definitely have to be the building side. There's so many different ways you can create objects in the game and its very fun to try and personalize every object to suit the actual style of the building of the people.
The loading times between screens was a little excessive though; and it took a while to load the backpack so I usually played my tasks off of memory.
Interactions between characters is incredibly, incredibly adorable. They make the silliest faces ever and characters are usually around the city doing… strange… things sometimes. Like having a seance. Why not? After a while they get slightly repetitive but it hardly gets old to see their cute expressions.
Another excitement to the game was unlocking items as you got further along in the game; finding hidden caves and being allowed to go specific locations. I was fully hoping that after your own city you could travel to other cities, which wasn't the case… maybe in a sequel it'll happen.
All in all, a very fun and cute game, definitely a keeper.
