The Field Memorial Gateway of brownstone and wrought iron, erected on College Street a little to the south of Mary Lyon Hall, was the gift of Mrs. Helen Field James and Mr. Joseph Nash Field in memory of their mother, Fidelia Nash Field, and was completed just before the Anniversary. An endowment fund, to bear when completed the name of the Nancy Everett Dwight Foundation, for maintaining the Dwight Art Building and adding to the collections, received from the Dwight family and from other sources $900.
