This is a really good movie since I saw The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Amazing story!

It was a good movie which kept me entertained and would recommend to friends.
My partner is IN this movie and even she thinks very little of it. This is the PERFECT movie for the casual film going audience. If you like a simple story with some nice visuals to look at then you'll love this. Typical book-to-screen adaptation stuff. Dig a little deeper however and this movie will do very little for you. This is very much a cliche, generic, by the numbers story. Forgettable characters in a fantastic fictional world. Without a big name like Sir Peter Jackson behind this project I'm sure it would have ended up like hot garbage (Looking at Ready Player One and Divergent). It feels like a movie made by people who passionately love the novels but forgot to bring that to the screen; the world building feels flat, resorting to characters just saying the names of things that exist somewhere out there, then moving on like nothing happened. The cast do great but are ultimately wasted in their basic level roles. A fun time if you're not looking form anything too deep. The best part about this movie is the AMAZING opening scene (mostly showed in the trailers and marketing).
Not my usual kind of movie but great actors and plotline made it exciting to watch. Based on after the worlds destruction survival not usual during or begining of it. Very cleverly done. Surprisingly I enjoyed it alot, worth watching.
The start of the movie creates the theme that generates the heavy action and visual landscape which moves the production into a fast paced fantasy film. Driving the on screen drama is a full 5.1 digital audio the moves Mortal Engines into an entertaining fantasy adventure.
When you hear Peter Jackson's name you expect a monster, this is no
exception. How this didn't succeed at the box office is beyond me. I am no
officionado of the mortal engines books and deffer to those who are but here
think steam punk meets starwars meets terminator and you're in the ball park.
The action is relentless, the acting plausable and it is cinamaticaly stunning
especially in 3D. It feels, however, as if it is a little too crowded and should
have been delivered in more than one movie but given the size of the series they
seem to have tried to create a short hand version of a very big and diverse
world.
I loved this and 128 minutes flys by. Give it a go if you enjoy a big action
shoot out; boy gets girl movie.
