Description

Haggard (1856-1925) was an English writer of adventure novels set in exotic locations, predominantly Africa, and a pioneer of the Lost World literary genre. First published in 1918, this novel narrates the events of the Biblical Exodus from Egypt told from the perspective of a scribe named Ana. The author dedicated the novel to Sir Gaston Maspero, a distinguished Egyptologist and director of Cairo Museum.
