47 years ago, the planet, Altair IV was vaporized by a thermo-nuclear reaction...and a dead zone of 671 million miles was permanently declared. The three battle cruisers have the combined capacity of destroying an entire solar system in a day, and yet, were grossly under-gunned for the mission. Two races have coexisted on Altair IV for over a million years, both originating beneath Altair's oceans. The Krell, crablike creatures evolved to highest levels of technology.
