This litter has good odor control, I have 4 kittens using it and the smell is pretty good compared to other litters. One bag lasted about 3 weeks with 4 of them using it which is the longest lasting litter I have used and its a very good price for the product. The only downside is it expands and becomes sawdust when exposed to moisture, so at first I accidentally over filled the trays (was at the same heigh I normally use) but because it expanded the tray soon became full and they started kicking sawdust everywhere. As long as you're aware of over filling you wont have a problem. Overall – I'm Impressed!

To help weigh up costs:value, 20L bag weighs about 12.5kg, so you can compare costs to 15kg bags wood burner pellets because it is known that they are the same thing. NZ made, NZ pine, good. Re Chloe's remark, the instructions on bag say fill to 6cm. That's too much, our litter tray is only 8cm. As little as 3cm is fine, many cats don't even need the bottom of the tray covered. Bag IS big, be aware that MA sent it in a box sealed with that fibre-reinforced tape you have to cut through, and a knife is a danger to your bag of kitty litter.

I'm usually sceptical when it comes to buying pellet cat litter as every other brand I've tried doesn't control odour but this litter is amazing! The pellets instantly soak up urine and turn into dust so the urine doesn't sit at the bottom of the tray and there's no bad smell at all. You get a huge bag for what you pay too. Definitely my go to litter from now on.

I had tried recycled paper pellets and it was okay, but this stuff eliminates virtually all odour. All absorbed liquid turns the pellets into sawdust. As the other reviews have said, you only need enough to cover the bottom of the tray because it expands. All you have to do is pick out the lil cat turds and when the rest has all turned to sawdust, you can dump it in the plant bin or compost. Also the bag is massive so it'll last ages and it's NZ pine so it's local.

Absolutely love this litter! Barely smells compared to other litters we have purchased and bonus is its compostable! One bag lasts forever as only a thin layer is required in the tray as the litter expands as it soaks up urine. Definitely wont be buying any other litter from now on!
