Metal Gear Solid V reviews

Its awesome. With a good story line and the little side missions this game allows the player to truly experience what Metal Gear is all about. I fully recommend this game to any player out there :)

Awesome game but definitely but not as good as all the others, story not as good as the others and it lacked the awesome “movie like” videos that its predecessors did but still an essential piece of the metal gear saga and for any Metal gear fan.

“NO SPOILERS”

I can say that I am a really big fan of Metal Gear and I can say I really had a blast playing this. The gameplay is what really shines through here. The characters are great and the music is amazing. However, the story just didn't run too well with me and I know i'm not the only one. The “twist” at the end didn't bother me, its how it left things without a resolution. You'll see what I mean when you finish it. And so many things were cut from the game that were previously said to be in it. Mission 51 was cut from the game and put into a special DVD in the collectors edition in an unfinished state. No idea why it was cut, it would have helped set things up for the games set after the events of MGSV. I can only hope for DLC or perhaps a patch to possibly finish this unfinished game.

Tl;dr – Gameplay wise, its innovative and a masterpiece. Story wise – Unfinished. Game is still amazing though!

Did I get my money's worth- Hell yeah! Im at 80 hours and my game completion is only at 55%. Buy it if you are familiar with the franchise's story, otherwise everything is going to go straight over your head. Now I must go and get more motherbase staff. WHOOOOOOOOOO!-

If you love open world shooting games that involve strategy and real thinking this game is for you- you really have to think about your plan and the graphics are awsome!

I found this game to be one of my favorite, however if you can afford to you should try to get it on “next gen” because this game is made for it and has to decrease detail on a lot of textures to make up for that… However it doesn't affect the story at all or experience to much plus the main reason why people really play MGS games is because of the amazing story.

I have played all the MGS games since MGS 2 and this is the best of the series by a long shot. I really want to play this also on PS4 to see how the enhancements differ to this PS3 version. One thing that is a little frustrating though is that finishing each op shows the credits for the level and also the space the game takes up on the HDD. Still, this game has definitely earned my 5 star rating.
