Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (Platinum) previews

Next-gen finally arrives with MGS4. Everything from graphics to sound is absolutely amazing in this game. I was fortunate enough to play the first level of this game at a gaming convention when I was overseas last year. As always with Metal Gear games, gamers will be swept off their feet by Kojima’s epic vision story-wise and it really is a powerful thought-provoking game. Harry Gregson Williams is also back to do the musical score which is just awesome, as far as game music goes and the controls with the new free-moving camera works very very well. Snake’s OctoCamo or more technically, his optical camouflage works exceptionally well too and together with Snake’s now trademark CQC, it is rather ingenious. There is also over 70 weapons to choose from with another ingenious feature, where weapons can be modded via a system dubbed Drebin Points. The title of ‘Masterpiece’ just doesn’t serve this game justice in my opinion. Every PS3 owner should have this game.

The Trailers over the past few years have gone a long way in creating excitement for this game. Simply cannot express the excitement this game generates. Solid Snake, Metal Gear, PS3, history in the making.

Well let me start I love all the mgs games when i saw the trailers to this game I want this game so bad I hope that gamespot and ign give this game a 10/10 thank you Official PlayStation Magazine for rating this game a 10/10 you guys rock

The Metal Gear Solid series has always pushed the boundaries of whatever console its been on. I'm looking forward to this game and will be spending some serious late nights infiltrating enemies. (BLING!!! Dammit!!!)

This game is going to be the start of the PS3 communist rule!! it will show the true power of the true 3rd generation machine using Blueray's huge capacity!! (sorry 360 and PC you cant handle this…yet) as you read this you are probably in the middle of GTA4. Well, I think we have a game that will equal the excitement of GTA4 and perhaps better it. This year is shaping up to be the most interesting and for us gamers, possibly the most interesting and exciting we have seen yet. Over and out.

ive played the first 2/5 hours of this game it took 8 minuets to install there r no 90 min cut sens but in the first 2/5 hours if u watch the briefing ull only spend max 10 min in game its all there every thing uve seen in the trailers was taken most out of in game or to say most of the stuff we have been watching is in the game this game is deffinitly worth getting i cant wate 4 my copy this week i got lost heaps so looking ford to the guide to 1 thing that kept me on track was a dam arrow pointing the next place to go hope fully there is an option to turn that of this game is way better than anything we hav seen from mgs so far

I saw the trailer for this game and i was blown away, can`t wait to get this game

Having spent time downloading the Beta, and both of the updates (each an overnight exercise), I went into this multiplayer exprience expecting an exceptional 3rd person multiplayer game without any matchmaking to speak of. As it turns out the matchmaking was the best thing I could see in this game. The controls are horrid, the visuals look alright, but its no COD4. I've not yet seen the single player game so can't pass judgment on that, but having felt the controls, I don't want to.
