The little boxes are made of cardboard. M & D is usually such a good brand – I was very disappointed to find the important bit was so flimsy. I've now paid quite a bit of money for some little wooden cars. This should have been mentioned in the product description.
My little one loves these and spends hours playing but the boxes are cardboard so one is ripped and for the price it would be nicer to have better quality. I would recommend though and am buying some for my niece
