Description

In 1984 George Parker MD (not his real name) was sued over treatment he had rendered a seven-week-old infant having meningitis in February, 1983. Settlement was made June 19, 1985 over the doctor's objection by the Indemnity Security Insurance Company and the Kansas Health Care Stabilisation Fund. On appeal the Kansas Supreme Court on March 27 1987 ruled that the settlement did not violate the doctor's 'due process' rights guaranteed by the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution and by the Kansas Bill of Rights. This book is not fiction authored by a physician. It is a true story, crucial events recorded by a physician as he was witnessing them. Yes, Truth is stranger than fiction. It is also more interesting and informative.
