"Great game!"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This game is by far the best in the series so far. The atmosphere of the game makes the single player intense. Multiplayer is great but a word of warning the lastest patch to bring the game up to v1.2 is a whopping 1.3gb!!!! Of course you need this as most servers I found are using this version. It does add two new maps which prolongs the game life.

"Parachuting in, so much of a laugh"

MOH games never dissapoint.

Parachuting in, kicks this game off to be so much fun to play. Just trying to get that perfect landing spot…

The weapons and especially how they upgrade is terrific and fun to do,… takes a while with the pistol… one shot at a time lol

And like all good games, your sad when you get to the end wishing it was longer, .....but then you realise you get to do it all over again woo hoo.

"Very Good ww2 first person shooter!"

If you have ever watched the TV series Band Of Brothers, this game is like interactive version of that! The game has a great plot, amazing graphics and really submerses the player into the game. Medal of Honor is a awesome game series and Airborne will not disappoint if you are wanting to play through a pretty historically accurate campaign.

"Great"

This game was considerably short and I didn't take too long to complete it,but the online mode makes up for that as you spend hours and hours enjoying what it has to offer.I liked the fact that you can choose where to start on levels, just jump out of the plane and parachute to a spot you think is suitable for you.Rooftop for sniping…on the ground for all the action..whichever.The weapons upgrade system really gives you a sense of achievement and It was great to feel the difference of the weapons when you got an upgrade, especially with the pistol..enjoyed running at the enemy and whacking them. The physics were pretty good too…but when i tried to install the game first time,I found out that i needed some updates for ageia physics…was a pain. The updates were the game were as big as 1.3 gigs.Overall i loved this game and is worth buying

"Great mindless fun"

The plot is nearly irrelevant but it doesn't matter because the gameplay is great. Simply load the game and start shooting. The levels are interesting enough that you can play them over again which is useful since there are only about 6 of them. The blur effect when you run and the ricochet sound effects really make it feel like you are playing a 3d version of Saving Private Ryan.

"Jumping out of a plane is great, if only I could use a weapon"

Good to see a game about the airborne. The jumping from the plane is pretty standard, can't do much about it. Kind of nice to pick a different starting point when you die. Game play is very good, it takes a moment to get use to the looking down the iron sight, but after the first couple of Germans your fine. Awesome graphics and game play. Worth the purchase!

"Enjoyable"

Takes me back to the first medal of honor i played on the ps1. If you have never played a medal of honor before you will enjoy it, but if you have played any of the previous games you will know what to except. Nice weapon upgrade system and stats for accuracy with medals for completing mission objectives.

"Medal of Honor Stillborne"

Graphically the game looks very good, one or two of the missions are fun and belong on a pc version of MOH. Vast majority of this game feels like it should be on console though. The single player side of this is far to short for a good fps. Few of the weapon upgrade are a waste of time, especially the bayonet added to the shotgun which cannot be used against the enemy. The friendly AI are plain dumb and their repetitive lines can become annoying “anyone got a spare clip?” – “Shut up and fight!”. Have always been a big fan of all Moh titles, until now. This game is a disappointment. What on earth were EA thinking?

Medal of Honor Airborne: The Airborne/Parachuting is very minimal in the game, it is only the introduction to each level and is really just a draw card. It does bring a slight new dimension to the game in the sense that it does put you in the shoes to a degree.

*The graphics are very good and the game does not seem to demand much resource which is a definate plus. *The AI are overall good however there are moments where they are fairly stupid or they react to your presence when they could not possibly see or hear you.

*The game length is a little disappointing but the fact that this like many similar games was primarily designed for online play with the single player campaign simply for introduction.

Summary: The game is definately worth purchasing as I certainly enjoyed it, like any game it has its flaws but what game is perfect?

"Better than it's predecessors"
4 stars"

Played the demo tonight at I quite like it, even if it was extremely short. Not sure about the blur effects when running but it definitely makes it more enjoyable than some of the other games that I've played (though I dunno how fast one would run with three guns a whole bag of grenades, and whatever else one might be carrying). AI is probably no better than Pacific Assault, but the enemies are harder to kill if that's any consolation.

Overall, it's an improvement, and I would definitely buy this game.

"Meh."
3 stars"

Have finished the game already on a friends PC from the states. All i have to say is meh… The hyped up jumps are pretty average…as you can start the level form anywhere, you can approach some objectives from 2 different areas. Although with some objectives its the same old walk up the road and kill everything. The AI was poor IMO, with the Germans standing out in the open, waiting to be shot in the head. They also have an amazing battlefield awareness. If you sneak up behind a german (still some distance away tho) who is looking in the opposite direction, he will still turn around regardless and unleash his MP40 or whatever into your head. Your allies will often move into your firing line, and afew times have got in the way of nades, especially when trying to kick German nades back at them. The accuracy issues with the kickback are solved by upgrading the weapon i.e the Thompson is horrible initially but once you have the drum mag and recoil dampener it is easy to mow down squads of Germans by simply charging them down. Another flaw in the game was the cover. The cover itself was plentiful except a small wooden fence could protect you from a tiger tank shell. even metal grates which you can see through are impossible to shoot through. Overall the game was still enjoyable, and somewhat satisfying. The graphics were alright, sounds effects were great and form the desgin viewpoint the game was well made. MoH fans will probably like this game as it is much improved over the previous titles, however if the other games int he series didn't really float your boat then this probably wont either.

"Not so great"
2 stars"

I downloaded the huge 1.3gb demo and was sorely disappointed with it. It's only half a level!!! The only demo I've seen thats shorter than MOH:A was Timeshift.

Apart from the quick air drop onto the battlefield I didn't feel like it was anything new to the WW2 FPS genre. The AI is pretty dumb, when the enemies spawn they run for the sandbag bunkers but once they're there… lets just say, don't expect much activity. They'll literally stand there while you shoot them, and it takes ages to kill them.

Visuals are nothing special, I managed to crank the graphics settings to the maximum (on an NVIDIA 8600GT 256mb card) and I was not impressed. Also, the HUD takes up a huge amount of the screen just so it can show an image of the gun you're using and the exp. level with it… big waste there.

I'd have to say the most realistic thing about the whole game is the excessive amount of kickback on the weapons and that just gets annoying since it makes it near impossible to hit anything that moves with an automatic weapon. Not to mention there's no lean function unless you're zoomed in, and unless you're using a sniper scope zooming is pointless! It seems they've fallen in to the new thing with FPS's – weapon mod upgrades. Nothing new, nothing special.

The only people that will find this game “amazing” will be the MOH fanboys that just want to add the next installment of a dying franchise to their collection.

2 stars simply because they managed to suck me into downloading the hog of a file and getting me to waste 20mins.

FYI – if you want to get a good demo, download either Quake Wars or Two Worlds. You'll atleast spend an hour or 2 with each of them.

"Solid WWII shooter"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I have played the Medal of Honor: Airborne demo and what I have seen shows great promise for the full game.

The first thing that struck me about the game was the amazing visuals. The lighting effects and shadows are very realistic and the models and textures are very detailed. The gameplay has some nice touches such as the leaning method, using the movement keys while aiming down the scope to lean instead of preset left or right keys for peeking around cover, and the ability to access upgrades for your weapons.

I did notice that the AI can be a little dumb sometimes. A lot has been said about the AI in this game being very realistic, but I didn't find this to be the case. Enemies did not always seek cover when under attack and didn't try to flank at any stage. In saying this the map I played was very constricting and this may have influenced the amount of maneuvering room the AI had. We will have to wait for the game to be released to find out if this was the case.

MOH: Airborne looks like a very compelling game, it may be another WWII shooter but it is a good one.

"All that I expected and more"
5 stars"

I downloaded the 1.3 GB demo of this game, and there's only one word I can use to describe it: Brilliant.

The gameplay is polished and realistic, the graphics are incredible and the AI is very, very cunning. Even the control system is good, which isn't a great consistency in MoH games. From the first 15 seconds of the demo level (in the briefing room) the graphics hit. Everything is shaded immaculately and it all looks fantastic. A nice touch is that you can see your actual body – if you look downwards, you see the bulk of your Airborne uniform and your legs and feet. When you're holding on to the railings in a C47 plane, you can look to the right and see your arm grasping the metal. The sheer scale and free-roam aspects of the mission maps are wonderful. I landed on a roof after a jump and instantly thought I was doomed and would have to reboot the mission, but I climbed down onto a balcony, went inside the building and found my way out.

The developers have paid a lot of attention to detail and it really pays off. Everything about this game is great. Can't wait till it's finally released!

"Excellent"

From watching many of the avaliable trailors/movies for this game I can say that I am simply amazed!

If you truly love your War-games then you will get this game, for it is incredably realistic and simply looks amazing!
