"Fingers Crossed"
5 stars"

When Remedy and Apogee created one of the most memorable and ground breaking games, Max Payne, it was truly a giant leap forward, both in terms of graphics AND game play. To achieve both is quite rare. We hadn't seen anything quite like it. With it's compelling story, gritty atmosphere and amazing soundtrack (well, the menu theme anyway), it offered a promising glimpse into the future potential of great games to come. Max Payne 2, developed by Take2 & Rockstar, followed faithfully in the footsteps of the original, and was equally as great as the first. It has been a while now, and technology has evolved somewhat since then. This doesn't mean you have to overhaul the story/atmosphere, yet, it would seem this is what has been done, based on the only available screenshots. Still, there are some good examples of this being done with positive outcomes, such as FarCry2 (although ironically, FarCry3 is heading back to it's roots)… Anyway, I hope Rockstar still appreciate how TRUE fans feel about this IP, and don't focus too hard on making it run on consoles in exchange for sacrificing the POTENTIAL we have here with today's talent and technology. Have faith. I give this 5 stars for it's anticipation factor, but I'm also anticipating a complete flop, thanks to the industry's recent and disturbing trend of ruining classic IPs.

"new developers for payne saga"
4 stars"

Max Payne is known for its grim, seedy and dark setting but with the new developers, Rock Star from the Grand Theft Auto series, it looks like the area and setting has taken a lighter and more vengeful turn. Let's hope that Rock Star does the game justice for the surely final installment.

"Concerning"

Rockstar isn't known for making games work very well on PC. The GTA games always worked terribly on PC, suffering from unusual lag, limited options and bad porting. I find myself concerned greatly about wither or not this game will suffer to. As such, I'll probably get this for 360, which is disappointing since I've played the last two on PC.
