The adventures of Manford and his friends continue. Manford finds a map to pirate treasure. It is probably just a wild goose chase, but then again, maybe not. Veronica dreams, dreams, and dreams while she hibernates. Golly races to save a child swept downstream toward a waterfall. Flossie is invaded by two hundred flamingos who take over her house and pond. Princess Columbine amazes a million butterflies at a convention in Pismo Beach. Needlenose enters a contest to win a lifetime supply of potato chips, but he already has one. Ssam writes epic poetry punching computer keys with his nose. Readers will join Manford on these adventures, and going to the circus, and learning how eclipses happen.
Born in Liverpool, Tim Cundle moved a seaside town on the South Wales coast in the late 1970s, setting a lifelong pattern of alienation and a discomfort with the status quo. After a youthful (mis)spent working a variety of jobs taken primarily to secure cash for gigs, and an education in behavioral psychology and anthropology, Cundle made a truly life changing move to America and then Canada. He taught marksmanship and riflery, worked in radio, both producing and presenting, and dipped into the life of road crew and guitar technician for various punk bands. On his return to the UK, Cundle created and produed Mass Movement, a music and lifestyle fanzime, that has evolved into the hugely respected and often imitated punk rock institution it is today.
