Divided into four parts: The SEN Coordinator as Manager - including the role and responsibilities of the SENCO; becoming a leader; managing and supporting people; managing meetings; and managing policy, practice and procedures under the Code of Practice Managing Teaching and Learning - including: managing identification and assessment; managing resources; managing the curriculum, and developing individual learning Working with Others - including: managing support staff; working in partnership with parents; working with other professionals and outside agencies; and supporting professional development Resources - including: useful lists of voluntary associations and agencies; a guide to using the Internet; and recommended competencies for SENCOs.
