Author Biography:

Nurys Harrigan-Pederson is a talent management and staffing expert with 20 years’ experience connecting employers with talent and professionals with careers in the nonprofit sector. A native of The Dominican Republic, she began her career in executive search and recruiting in New York City. In 2006, she founded Careers In Nonprofits (CNP), now among the leading nonprofit staffing firms in the US. Nurys has a Master’s degree in labor relations and human resources management from Baruch College - City University of New York, and a bachelor’s degree in public administration. She lives with her husband and two young children in Northern Virginia.
