Came with 2X AA batteries, these sadly had leaked acid everywhere, to be expected however for a mouse that was manufactured around 5 years ago, the batteries were packed well enough that the acid didn't leak onto any of the contents of the mouse.
The mouse its self, worked very well and is as expected amazing.
The manufacturer makes the claim that a single pair of AAA batteries will last up to a year when used with their mouse. I use the mouse for 2 hours a day, and had to replace the batteries after 2 weeks. I know their claim comes with the proviso that it depends on the amount of use, but making that sort of claim based on less than 5 minutes use a day is really stretching it.
Great mouse and excellent value , due to it been a old model And mighty ape service is allways second to none
