A collection of poems, written in a conversational and witty tone from the point of view of a young, modern woman who travels, observes, and writes. They are frequently snatches from a personal story, as friends, relations, lovers appear and disappear. The first section of the book touches on love in its various forms, and in the last section, the poet explores the life of a writer, again in momentary glimpses.

Author Biography

Sarah Quigley lives in Berlin. She is a gifted writer who has successfully published a book of short stories, Having Words With You, and a novel, Waiting for Robert (Penguin). She will publish a new novel in Europe in early 2003. Her first collection of poems appeared in appeared in the AUP New Poets I. She was the winner of the inaugural CNZ/DAAD Berlin Writers' Fellowship and has just been awarded the inaugural CLL Writers Grant for Non-Fiction to complete her biography of Charles Brasch.
