"Cute book but but factually inaccurate"
3 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

Decided to purchase this book recently as I've always loved Usborne books for kids and my 5 year old is increasingly interested in the topic of space. The book is cute and quite interactive which makes learning about the space, astronomy and planets more fun for young kids. However, I was rather disappointed in some gross inaccuracies within the ‘factual’ content. Most shockingly the heliocentric theory was attributed to Galileo while no mention of Nicolaus Copernicus was made! He was the person who actually came up with it, Gallileo being a mere confirmator of those findings. Secondly: Albert Einstein is named as Swiss national when he was actually German. Luckily for my kids my reasonable level of general knowledge allows me to correct this misinformation. I'm just concerned that for most people the incorrect ‘facts’ will become common knowledge.
