For anyone who types for a living, this keyboard is brilliant. It has a very light touch. This is my second K800 – the first one is still going strong after 3 years of hard use, oh and the letters have not worn off the keys! I use it with my laptop when I work away from home. Highly recommend this keyboard.

Great easy to use keyboard.
Far better than I expected awesome keyboard
The Logitech K800 keyboard is a great piece of kit to install and use. It took 4 days from order to delivery (within Aus) and was received well packaged. An excellent buy that was well below retail cost for the same item. Well done MA.
The after-sales service is indeed second to none compared to big retail giants like Noel Leeming, Harvey Norman etc. Would I like to buy from Mighty Ape again- The answer is #3|| yes!! Keep it up guys!
I was really unsure about this keyboard to be honest, and I did a lot of work looking for a new one to suit my needs. This one (though just a little pricey) fit my needs perfectly!
Its quiet (important when typing in bed or gaming beside my sleeping gf – day and night vs mechanical keyboards), the illumination works well, it types effortlessly and is responsive. Haven't got a single complaint about it.
So very happy with this, way better than any other keyboard and batts last ages from using each day :) So easy to setup and use.
I love the illuminated keypad and that it lights up as you bring your hands near. Only complaint is the keyboard doesn’t work while it is plugged in.
See above.
I bought this keyboard because it's made by a good brand, had all of the shortcut, media and volume keys I wanted, and it was one of the few decent-looking wireless keyboards that also had a backlight. But it was far nicer than I anticipated! Really solid build quality and construction, feels sturdy and a little weighty, and there's no creaky plastic or parts that seem easily breakable. Keys feel very nice to use, soft action with a nice short travel and a good semi-rounded shape, but not too close to a typical laptop keyboard. And the motion- and proximity-activated backlight is fantastic!! I didn't even know it had this feature until I got it out and started using it! The backlight is off when not in use, meaning it's less of a distraction, but as soon as you reach over to type a quick thing it lights up for you. The moment you go to pick it up or move it around it lights up for you as well. Basically at any point where you are about to use it, the backlight fades on very smoothly, and once you are done using it the backlight slowly and smoothly fades out. Really really nice touch, and it will never look outdated! Whether you are using this for a desktop setup, a lounge setup or anything else, this keyboard does everything you need and not much else, and it does it perfectly and elegantly. Would highly recommend this keyboard to anyone!!
Very high quality
This is the first keyboard I've ever bought, as I've always been a laptop user, and I'm reasonably happy with it. I went for this model as I struggled to find any gaming keyboards that had slim keys suitable for easy typing. It's a very attractive keyboard, although the glossy surface is prone to fingerprints and attracts dust/hair (so mine is covered in a fair bit of pet fur two days into use! It's somehow already scratched in a few places, too). It's very comfortable to use, and other than getting used to some differences in layout (laptops usually have their Fn keys to the left, but it looks like the standard for keyboards is to have them to the right), it's been really easy to convert to.
I've got a couple of issues with it, that may be worth noting for anyone considering the model:
- The capslock light is quite a bit lower than the top of the key itself and is quite dim, so it is very difficult to see in a light room or at a different angle other than looking perpendicular to the keyboard.
- The proximity sensor is iffy and a bit unpredictable (and distracting); it would be nice to be able to simply set day/night settings as an alternative. Even easier would be to simply have an on/off key for controlling the illumination.
- The Logitech site claims that ‘You can even type while it’s recharging’ (https://www.logitech.com/…eyboard-k800) – however, the USB charger doesn't seem to recognise the keyboard and I still need to plug in the receiver – so it requires two USB ports (although the one used to charge only needs to be plugged into a power source). I don't know if this is the standard in keyboards, but my Logitech G903 mouse will work without the receiver when charging.
- The unifying receiver (and software) is totally separate to their gaming products; so it will not recognise the G903 mouse or G933 headphones (meaning all three = three USB ports).
- There is no indicator light for e.g. Scroll or num lock. The battery light is also fairly dim and hard to see in a light room. The software package, albeit fairly basic, will show screen notifications when these are pressed, though.
- The micro-USB port is a bit wiggly, so be careful moving the keyboard (the stands fall down easily if you shift it anyway) or keeping cords nearby. It'd be nice if it had something similar to the G903 mouse in which there's two prongs to stabilise the cord, preventing damage when knocked/shifted.
- It looks like the keyboard illumination strength resets after the keyboard has been turned off and on- I haven't used this feature much, but I imagine it could be a bit irritating.
It's also worth noting (for anyone who's purchased this keyboard) that while the downloads on the Logitech site for this product point to the SetPoint software, when I downloaded it the software said that this device is no longer compatible – sending to a download for the newer Logitech Options software. The configurable keys also seem to be limited to a list of options from Logitech – I was hoping to set up a key for turning up/down the brightness of my screen (something my laptop keyboard has built in), but it looks like I'll have to configure that using a different hotkey program.
Other than the above, I do like this keyboard. I wish it was a bit more customizable and compatible with their gaming devices, but the keyboard itself is pretty great and is perfect for general use (just install the software as it's hard to tell when the caps/scroll/num lock are on!).
This is my second Logitech K800 wireless and it's the best. Keys feel great and it's comfortable to use plus it doesn't take up a desk space as some keyboards do. I recommend the keyboard although it's pricey but worth the money.
Love this keyboard – I love the feel of the keys and the low travel – I love how the keys are closely aligned together so there are less ‘mistypes’ as I hit the space between the keys (on my laptop, a common occurrance). Now I use this keyboard with my laptop and we are friends again. I love that it's a full size keyboard AND has the numbers panel to the side. Great that it's wireless, the angles are good and it can be angled even more if I need it that way. Overall, this has become my new favourite keyboard!
The keyboard is great but the lighting on it needs some work. even when you set it to turn off after 5 minutes it seems to turn off almost as soo as you stop typing. The Logitech Options software is very much a poor cousin to their gaming software.
Great keyboard ..paired easily with the unified receiver …backlit being an xtra bonus…soft stroke keys …awesome
Delivery was good. Items works perfect. I'm a happy costumer.
This keyboard is seriously great. We use them for transcription services at NZ Parliament where we need to type consistently at around 100wpm. They're fast, quiet and comfortable. No complaints. Loved it so much I got one for home as well. Definitely recommend it!
The keyboard works fine, though it is wireless, but it is advised not to leave it connected via the usb lead to the pc permanently, this will involve constant unplugging of the tiny usb plug on the keyboard, which is fiddly and not an easy fit. Contact with the so called “help” desk at Logitech proved very unsatisfactory, asking for advice regarding leaving the PC plug in permanently. They didn't seem to even understand what I was asking them advice about. So, nice keyboard, lousy back-up.
