Description

A Story of Finding One's Voice in the World When Little Wolf becomes separated from her family, she remembers her mama's advice: If you're ever lost, find North. But who or what is North? With a little help from new friends Whale, Goose, and Bear, Little Wolf finds her own way North--and, eventually, back home. In this tale about discovering one's voice, playful storytelling, gentle humor, and vibrant illustrations create the perfect winter picture book for little wolves everywhere.

Author Biography:

Nelly Buchet (www.nellybuchet.com) is the author of many books for young readers, including ALA Notable selection Cat Dog Dog, which was chosen by children around the world as the winner of 2021's Irma Black Award for Excellence in Children's Literature. Nelly has always loved wolves. She wrote her first story about a wolf mother and her pups when she was four. Thankfully, her father helped transcribe it and it became, with time, the book before you know. Mathias Ball (www.MathiasBall.com) is a trans-identified illustrator born and raised in a small Canadian lakeside town. You can typically find their work featuring animals, emotion, and a whimsy of colors. They are a graduate of the Illustration program at Sheridan College, with their work being recognized by Society of Illustrators, Communication Arts, 3x3 Illustration, and more.
