If you've played Lego Star Wars or Lego Batman you know what you're in for – a heck of a good time reliving all your favourite moments from the legendary film series in full Lego brick glory. If you've never played a Lego game before, the formula is simple, but not tired. All 3 original Indiana Jones films have been re-imagined and built from the ground up out of Lego bricks.
As you progress through the missions that make up each movie you collect a huge roster of characters. After you've done each mission, you can head straight back in with a team of your favourite characters to scour the level for every last piece of treasure. (And there's heaps to find – even experienced gamers will get a laugh out of some of the clever places the developers have hidden the goods)
The game is designed with co-op play in mind. Absolutely perfect for a parent-child teamwork. Just plug in the second controller and drop in and out as you please. It's always more satisfying when you solve a puzzle as a team.
The gameplay is the perfect balance of nutting out Lego-based puzzles and trying to not get shattered into your constituent Lego bricks by the hordes of tribespeople, thugs, cultists, nazis, and French archaeoligists gone bad. Everyone will get a giggle out of the hilarious Lego cutscenes. The poor Lego dudes can't talk like us – they have to tell the story with a surprisingly large range of facial expressions and poses not at all possible with the real pieces of plastic.
If you're looking for a fun game for you and a friend, based on an excellent film series, with lots of replay value, pick up this Lego Indiana Jones! Don't be ashamed – the kids might like it but Mum and Dad will get addicted too.
