For starters, it comes in three packages, so if you only receive one, and open it and find that there are bits missing, don't panic like I did, the rest will arrive.
The first issue I had with the product was the packaging. Expanded polystyrene and foam polythene fabric – about as recyclable as a lump of uranium. In this day and age there are no excuses for not using alternatives, like cleverly folded cardboards and paper.
The second issue was the instructions. The manufacturers clearly thought their need to cut costs overrode the customer's need to know what they were supposed to do to get the thing assembled. The unit has drawers that have metal sliding rails. The instructions do not show you how to put these on. I had to pull the cutlery drawer out of my kitchen and examine it to establish how they were supposed to work. That's just not good enough. Having said all that, the unit can be assembled into a pretty decent product. The materials are good and there's enough hardware to put it all together. It mostly uses a post and cam lock system of assembly which a lot of flat pack furniture uses. The posts screw into nylon bushes which are pre-inserted, so you'll need to be reasonably careful screwing them in, as if you overtighten you may strip out the thread and there are no spare bushes. But once it's all assembled there are no unsightly gaps or wobbly bits. It all hangs together well. It's just a pity getting it finished was such a mission.
