Description

What matters most in life? Why do we do the things we do? How do we want to be remembered? Those were honest questions that drove Veronica Colondam to her calling. Journey to Impact is the story of Veronica's spiritual journey that shaped her inner thoughts and strength to impact millions of underprivileged youth. She has been creating sustainable change in their lives through social entrepreneurship, long before that term was even known in Indonesia. In 1999, Veronica established the YCAB Foundation, which is dedicated to the betterment of children's lives through education and financial assistance. As of January 2018, YCAB Foundation was ranked 40th on the list of the world's top 500 NGO's as determined by NGO Advisor in Geneva. This book will take you through her intricate yet candid journey as a young mother of three responding to her calling. Her hopes and dreams, pain and despair, brokenness and delights in her walk as a woman leader can be lonely and isolating at times. Her resilience has led her to rebuild what's broken, to keep on going against all odds. Her undying spirit and relentless grit are so compelling as to inspire others to do just the same - that one will only live a life that matters when life is lived as the extension of the goodness to others. That's how one will be remembered. That's what true impact is really about. HIGHLIGHTS * Personal insights into an extraordinary organization by its founder * Compelling story of personal and institutional development
