Again and again they asked why such a little fire eater should be retained in the ranks, and again and again the child's truthfulness, integrity, and stead fast application to his studies pleaded for pardon. If, on a Monday morning, Mrs. White was seen aecom panying her abashed son to school, the neighbours said, There goes Bill White's mother to make peace with his teachers.
