Description

Psst! It's true! This is the best book on SLEEP you'll ever read! Did you know that astronauts don't snore? And that lack of sleep can kill you faster than starvation? Dive under the doona and find out the facts on sleep. Horses do it standing up, ducks with one eye open. Pop stars invent catchy tunes while they are snoozing. A nightmare about cannibals leads to the invention of the sewing needle. From snoring to ejector beds, bedbugs to why we dream, it's all here, between the sheets. Wake up to the wacky world inside your brain at night.

Author Biography

Ever since kindergarten, Thalia has been fascinated with stories. She loves the way words can transport her to another world, or teach her anything about this one. She loved reading when she was a kid, and now she loves writing for kids who also love books. Thalia grew up on a carrot farm on the outskirts of Melbourne; it had a bush area down the back that was prefect for escaping and exploring. She kept writing stories as she grew up and, after a stint as a semi-professional dancer, she started working as a website editor and later, editor of travel guides. These days, she works from home as a writer and editor, and lives with her husband and two children in North-East Victoria. Thalia does her best writing in her head, while out for a run or a walk. She is also a great believer in sleeping through an idea - some of her tricky writing problems have been solved after a good night's sleep. Sometimes, Thalia even writes in her dreams!
