No special skills are needed to perfect this technique. It is amazing how simple it is to produce dazzling designs by just following a basic pattern. The designs are created by cutting, folding and positioning different coloured papers into swirling, spiralling layers, and mounting them in shaped apertures. Author Biography

Michelle Powell studied design and display at Gloucestershire College of Arts and Technology before going on to graduate from Bath College of Higher Education with a degree in teaching art. She majored in printing and papermaking.
