I'm glad to see that this film has been released on dvd in New Zealand. I went and ordered it from the States! Okay, I'm a big John Carpenter fan anyway, so I naturally have a bias towards even his less effective works. However, when I first watched this film, back in 1995 or 96, I was happy! It has enough weird reality-fantasy-which-is-which content, with some genuinely creepy moments, to keep you watching with interest. Although not up to the standard of several other John Carpenter films, I would still recommend this film to anyone with a fondness for the macabre. Late night alone is always good!
