After so long a lapse of time it was thought desirable in 1894 to repeat the experiment, and a Special Committee was appointed by the Council to arrange it. It was at first contemplated to have a general Exhibition of Heraldry, but the number Of exhibits from England alone seemed to promise to be so numerous, considering the limited room available for the Exhibition, that it was eventually decided to restrict the exhibits to England, and to leave Foreign Heraldry for some future occasion.
