Storage gage precipitation data are annual values. Thirty-two cooperating agencies and 93 local observers supplied the data for the 352 stations reported. Detailed daily and hourly data for some stations, not published here, are available in the files of the Department of water Resources. To insure accuracy, stations are inspected annually or semiannually to see that the equipment is properly maintained and that observations generally are taken in accordance with U. 8. Weather Bureau standards. Each station in this appendix has been assigned an identification number. The first two digits denote the drainage basin as shown below.
