Description

Everything sounded easy enough. Sneak in to a Pict village, steal a holy stone, and claim a Viking's honor. One night-in and out-and Ubbi would never be seen as a stable boy again. What could go wrong? While famous Vikings such as Harald Fairhair were unifying Norway, and Ketill Flatnose ruled the Kingdom of the Isles, Tor and Olaf were earning their reputations and growing their fortunes at sea. But Ubbi was just a glorified oarsman, a boy, really, who cared for the horses and guarded the ships while the rest of the crew raided and battled in the lands of the Angles and the Picts. That is, until he lost his tongue...

Author Biography:

Derek Nelsen is a Norske American fascinated by the myths and folklore of his Scandinavian ancestors, and of course, the Vikings. He lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina with his beautiful wife, Lisa, and their three wonderful children-far from Hel and safe from draugr, which is more than he can say for his characters.
